All About Birkenstock Sandals & Shoes
The story of the Birkenstocks began in 1774 in Germany. At first they were used as house shoes because of the comfort you feel wearing them. After that, Birkenstocks have reached popularity in the United States in 1966 when the Flower Power era has just started. That time, the clothes style was associated with freedom and liberty and the shoes played an important role in the outfit. In the present these shoes can be found in a variety of styles and colors and they can be worn in many occasions. No matter where a person choose to wear the sandals, it will be a pleasure having them because of the sensation of comfort they bring…and we all know how important it is wearing the right shoes.
The Boston Clogs for kids are exactly like the ones of adults only in a smaller version. They can be recognized after features like the adjustable strap, closed- toe style and opened heel like the slipper shoes. The clogs are made from suede and leather and also from cork and latex. The color of the shoes can be the classical grey, mocha, red, brown or blue.
The Rosemead shoes are the elegant version of the Boston clogs. Like the first ones, they have a closed – toe and opened heel structure. The difference is that they have a rounded front and here’s where the elegance comes from. Some of the Rosemead clogs are unisex, but the most popular variation Mary Jane style was just for women and kids. The shoes for the kids were manufactured only from suede in colors like purple, red, mocha and taupe.
The original Birkenstock’s sandals were the Arizona models. Their characteristics are the cork sole and the 2 straps. Only mocha and taupe colors are available for kids sandals. The classical version has the straps made in suede, but it is also used the birkibuc, a combination of polyamide and acrylic.
The roman style sandals are, as shown in the name, those sandals worn in antiquity by roman women in combination with those well known dressed. These sandals are like the Arizona sandals, only that they have a third strap over the heel. The sandals provides the comfort that all Birkenstocs shoes have, and also a plus of stability because the heel is covered. Birko – flor is the material used for the upper strap. This material is actually a faux leather. The roman sandals are available in lots of nice colors.
The Rio sandals are like the roman ones, is just that the upper strap covers the heel completely. So the stability of those is higher than at the roman sandals and the look will be sleeker. They are available in a large variety of colors and the material used is the faux leather called Birko – flor. The sole is made of cork and latex and soft suede so that the feet will never feel tired and also they won’t get sweat. Kids can enjoy these sandals in a large fun variety of colors.
