The story of the Birkenstocks began in 1774 in Germany. At first they were used as house shoes because of the comfort you feel wearing them. These sandals are like the Arizona sandals, only that they have a third strap over the heel. The sandals provides the comfort that all Birkenstocs shoes have, and also a plus of stability because the heel is covered. Birko – flor is the material used for the upper strap. This material is actually a faux leather. The roman sandals are available in lots of nice colors.

The Rio sandals are like the roman ones, is just that the upper strap covers the heel completely. So the stability of those is higher than at the roman sandals and the look will be sleeker. They are available in a large variety of colors and the material used is the faux leather called Birko – flor. The sole is made of cork and latex and soft suede so that the feet will never feel tired and also they won’t get sweat. Kids can enjoy these sandals in a large fun variety of colors.
