The Real Essence of a Formal Wear
When we talk about the formal dress code, we are not just referring to official wears or stuffs that you can wear to your office alone. It is true that these sets of wears too are part of the formal wears, but they are not the only kinds of clothing implicated in this regard.

A formal wear is the kind of wear that you use for a conventional purpose. It is the kind of cloth that one is expected to put on at a particular place or in a particular condition. Of course, you are expected to dress smartly to your working place. This is why your office wear can be termed as formal wears.
A pregnant woman too is expected to dress in a specific manner. She is not expected to put a cloth that is too tight for the pregnancy because of the possible contrary effect that such tight dressing can have on the pregnancy. She is expected to put on something free and specially sown to give room for the pregnancy. This kind of wear can as well be considered as a formal wear.
In the sporting world too, there is a kind of laid down rule on the type of attire that sports people are expected to put on. There had been the cases of sports ruling bodies laying ban on individuals or countries that come up with sporting gears that are not approved as the formal wear for the particular sport in question. We can as well say that the clothing that we see these sports people wearing are forma l wears.
If you are going out for a dinner or an evening party, there is a particular dress code that can be considered as acceptable for this purpose. Putting on anything contrary will only make you feel like a fish out of water. Wearing your lady office attire to a dinner party is never the best of ideas. It will be better if you look for a nice black gown or formal blazer that will set off your curves and posture and turn you to the cynosure of all eyes.
Any time that you are invited to a party or a dinner, it will be helpful for you to be fully aware of what the dress code is. The dress code in such particular party is the formal wear in the party and you should endeavor to put such on to.
