How to Select a Running Shoe?
Major question that people ask are the many of those that arise in my mind too. One of these questions is that how to select a running shoe? Wrong choice causes the runner to fall and thus causing a serious injury which further leads to diseases like ITB syndrome, runner’s knee, skin splints etc.
Running shoes are of different types and sizes but the main thing that matters is the running style of people. Not all the humans run alike – the body movement and other features are quite different than each other. The selection of the running shoes should be done on the basis of characteristics and types of feet. This does not mean that I for instance am not superior then any of you just on the basis of my feet. It is only natural. No one and nothing is perfect. We all just need to figure out a way how to do things. It is just like the condition of having hair today and gone tomorrow.
People want running shoes but do not know which one to select for themselves and are confused by a variety of running shoes and other different kinds of shoes when they enter a shoe store. Running shoes make one best in his/her own running capabilities. I know where to start searching for your running shoes. First of all you need to know about your Pronation. Now you do not what pronation means it that when you walk or run the inwardly rolling of the foot when the weight is transited from your heel towards the ball of your feet in between the gait cycle.
The best way to determine the Pronation is to video tape you feet while running and the compare the video with the photo taken and then comparing the angle of you feet with video. If you pronate normally it okay but if you over pronate or under pronate it is going to cause you trouble. (Basically the runners that have flat feet over pronate and they need to control their motion by wearing sneakers).
Once you have done determining how you pronate you can move on.
The runners that under pronate should always search for shoes that only have a little or no arch support.
The ones that over pronate should always search for shoes that have plastic arch or bar support systems the sole of the shoe which helps the shoe to bent, twist and role some times.
Moderate or Normal pronators should search for the shoes that have an enhanced arch support system that has a higher density.
Neutral pronators do not have to worry about their running style because they are naturally constructed but by increasing the weight of their shoes they can see an improvement occurring in their running skills.
The running companies are working hard to make shoes that are making every one realize the best in themselves. People should take extra care in their every day activities and avoid taking risks.
