Leather-Men-Dress-Shoes-86102-[1]People liked to be dressed formally a few years ago. The luxurious class of people used to dress in a dress code that was very formal including tuxedo, suits, matching trousers, and dress shoes.

Now with the passage of time, trends have changed a great deal. People are now more inclined towards being casual, they only wear formal dress when they have to wear, such as events and occasions. In earlier times, Friday was the only day to be casual for them but now almost everyday has become a Friday. And being more specific, when we talk about dress shoes; people now like to wear casual and dusty shoes. They are no ore careful to shine their shoes according the requirements of an event. A formal dressing requires shoes to be well polished and well shined. It enhances the quality of a person being well-dressed. Also puts a very good impression on others.

There are now many shiners and cleaners available in the market. But the best way is the basic shining and polishing method. Using this method, shoes are polished with hands and the things one may require are brush, polish, shoe-tree, water, polish applicator, and a white cloth used for shining purposes. If you already having all these things then you can shine your shoes with relative ease. Now as far as the method of polishing the shoes is concerned, it involves the following method that needs to be followed every time you wish to polish and shine your shoes. The process is as under:
Process to follow

1. Clean your shoes properly. Apply some water on them and then get them dry. Always remember to dry them before proceeding further because the polish can stick to the shoes and they might not be polished properly.
2. Place your shoes on the shoe-tree and clean any dust, dirt or stains that are visible. This can be done with the help of a buffering brush and a cloth.
3. The next step is of using an applicator to paste an adequate amount of polish on the sole, upper, and back of the shoes. The front side and the heels are the most vulnerable surfaces that are affected by dirt, dust and scraps. So, they are needed to be paid more attention while pasting polish.
4. When the shoes are pasted with polish and whole of their surface is covered, then the buffing or horsehair brush is used for buffing. This buffing brush gives them a moderate and shiny look. Much better than the earlier uneven and dirty look. This can also be regarded as a shiny look, but the shine we are going to achieve is the super shiny standard of shoes.
5. This is the step in which the sparkling and super shiny look is achieved. A buffing cloth or an old T-shirt can be used for this purpose. Grab it firmly and place it around the surface of the shoes and place the middle of this cloth at the front horizontally. Start running the cloth back and forth and continue doing it until the shoe gets a glossy, shiny and desired look. Then move towards the second shoe. And by doing this you can make your older shoes look new, shiny and beautiful.
