Semi-Formal Dresses for Teenagers

There are not only formal and informal types of dressing. Another type of dressing is called as semi-formal dressing that falls between both of the basic types of clothing. First we should know about the formal and informal styles of clothing. Formal clothing refers to the gowns that are elegantly styled and tuxedos that include many items such as a trouser and jacket of a same color, neck-tie, dress shirt and cummerbund. This type of dress is usually worn in public appearances, official meetings, weddings and other occasions. Now, as we talk about the semi-formal clothing, it is a more lenient type of dress code when somebody has to wear a suit or a gown, but it still prohibits the use of jeans and T-shirts. The teenagers don’t usually like to be formal in nature, for them the rules can be further bent, but limitations are certainly there and they can’t be totally changed.

1. Teen girls should wear a knee-length, simple and pretty dress. Formal floor-length gowns should be avoided. The other option is that to wear an elegant blouse with a fitted skirt. This dress makes the girls more beautiful. High heels can be put on if a girl likes but another style is of especially designed sandals for events and parties that make girls even more charming.
2. The hand bag must be an attractive one. It should be colorful and eye-catching in its design and style. Jewelry is an added feature that can increase the attractiveness of a teenage girl. Expensive diamonds and pearls can be replaced by the colorful jewelry tat looks more youthful. It can involve bangles and earrings that are designed in a butterfly shape. Many other items are there when you search around the market that enhances the beauty of a girl.

3. The teenage boys should wear jackets and pants of the same color. They are not required to wear neck-ties or tuxedos in a semi-formal event. But it should be kept in mind that they can’t wear jeans, T-shirts and tracksuits that can be called as rough wear.
4. Dress shoes must always be worn. Sneakers and sandals are not allowed in a semi-formal event for boys because it shows their unserious attitude towards others. Dark colored shoes are a best wear for such kind of any event.
5. Another option for teen boys is that they can wear clean and fitted shirt with khaki pants and black dress shoes. Although it’s not formal, but it’s a look that is easy to be accepted everywhere.
The teenage boys and girls must present themselves in a proper way because it shows their behavior, attitude and seriousness towards the event and the invitees of that event. Although teenagers can’t help themselves in wearing casual dresses but whenever an event comes, then they themselves be responsible of the dress code they are applying upon themselves.
